Fort Collins has an economy which is based predominately on service related businesses and manufacturing industries. One of the city's largest manufacturing companies is Hewlett Packard along with Woodward Governor and Anheuser-Busch. Because of the resources available from Colorado State University the area has become a very popular base for many high-tech companies.
Other industries in the area include agri-tech businesses, bioscience and clean energy. Fort Collins also has many government prompted incentive programs to help new businesses get set up which makes it an obvious choice for new companies. The city is home to the Fort Collins/Loveland Airport which provides links to Denver International Airport and the city also has an extensive road and rail system.
